Welcome to our Safety Protocol Page!

On the left we have the essential requirements of our volunteers listed.

Below we will have our complete procedure, which we have consulted Public Health experts and Emergency Medicine Practitioners about.

1. WASH HANDS FOR MORE THAN 20 SECONDS before leaving home.

2. Wear gloves and masks(if available). If masks are not available, a bandana or scarf will work as a rudimentary substitute. the Wellesley Coronavirus Student Organization can provide latex gloves to our volunteers.

3. Practice social distance regulation and rules (see CDC or mass.gov). Overall, volunteers should limit social interactions.

4. Sanitize all boxed items and items in bags with wet wipes/surface cleaning supplies before delivering items to customers.

5. Online transactions (PayPal/Venmo) between customer and volunteer are highly recommended. Cash or check transactions when necessary must be put in a sealed and sanitized envelope and stored in a location for volunteers to pick up after dropping off groceries.

6. Volunteers must leave grocery orders at the door for their customers in order to limit social distancing.

7. We recommend that volunteers shower after each delivery (to limit the risk of our volunteers falling ill) as is reasonable per day.

8. Sick or exposed volunteers must hold themselves accountable and STAY HOME. If this happens immediately email wellesleystudentcoronavirus@gmail.com

For all, according to the New York Times, SOAP IS MORE  EFFECTIVE than HANDSANITIZER against Covid-19, so wash hands often, and use handsanitizer sparingly.
